In case you haven’t already noticed it’s our 100th issue this month (and if you haven't where have you been?). 100 issues of course mean 100 glorious covers from which to choose a favourite. You’ve read our opinions, we’re enjoying reading yours and now we‘re proud to reveal what a few of our longstanding familiar friends have to say on the subject.
Paul Smith, Designer
Top: October 2006
It’s almost impossible to choose a favourite. But if I have to, this one edges out in front. I think it’s the strongest, most confident and also the simplest.
Turkey: June 2004
This one’s unnecessary, vulgar and really doesn’t fit in with the image of the magazine as I see it.
Terence Woodgate, Furniture Designer
Top: September-October 1997

Turkey: April 2000
The pigs. I’m really not fond of pigs.
Will Alsop, Architect
Top: January-February 2000
It’s incredibly direct and to the point.
Turkey: May-June 1998
It looks like so many other magazines. Although sex sells magazines, it shouldn’t look like a cheap trick. Curiosity is definitely a more subtle draw.
