London Design Festival highlights

New kid on the block, Gallery Fumi has pulled out all the stops for its first festival showing. And many could learn from their slick edit and production. Bringing together a clutch of young, exciting designers who explore different notions of materials, it’s an exhibition not to be missed. From Max Lamb’s porous concrete (surprisingly light) and compacted wool (surprisingly heavy) stools, to Studio Glithero’s ‘Les French’ gum paper sideboard on bronze scaffold legs, the calibre of craft in the process of each piece is ingenious.
