The 10-acre site, catering for 1600 students, cost $171m and opens this autumn. Yet another stat: there’s a 40ft drop from the highest to the lowest point on the plot. Coop Himmelblau have used this to good effect, creating terraces and a gradation from front entrance to back where the recreational areas are located.
