New York Autumn/Winter 2008
Narciso Rodriguez
This designer cuts clothes which have lasting power, down to their pared down look and monotone colour palette. There were some great flute-neck sculpted grey cashmere jackets with stovepipe trousers, a lovely cocoon coat in pea green and a line-up of his signature dresses. He cut them in chiffon with inserts of chain-mail, and draped and twisted bodices which fell into sheer layered hems. All tailormade for the urban warrior woman who knows what she wants.
