Deacon's sculptures are architectural, monumental and often grand in scale. He pushes materials to their limits, twisting great sheets of aluminium and steel into impossibly fluid shapes. Though seemingly abstract however, Deacon's work always has an emotional connectivity to the sculpture's particular location and situation.
