Milan Menswear Autumn/Winter 2008
Salvatore Ferragamo
Eastern Europe seems to be a bit of a trend throughout Milan, with Gucci's Frida Giannini looking to post revolutionary Russia. As such, Ferragamo's Massimiliano Giornetti has drawn inspiration from East Berlin circa 1984, and in particular the secret servicemen seen in the recent film The Lives of Others.
Being Ferragamo, any influences used were kept subtle (as they should be), such as the palette of metallic blues and grey. With a leather pant here and a coat and cape there, combined they gave the show a stronger look.
