Design Miami
Magen H. Gallery, New York
Opened in 1997, Magen H. Gallery brings together pieces that transcend form and function, principally through the materials from which they are made. As such, the gallery has made a name for itself on the design gallery circuit as pioneering conceptual twentieth-century design.
With emphasis on the French post-war designers and those from the American Art and Industry movement, the gallery prides itself on showcasing the finest limited edition and prototype pieces, designed around the premise that art and design are interdependent. With prototype and limited edition pieces only, the gallery believes the significance and innovation of the items in its collection are proof that singular works of design are the purest representation of design art.
Design Miami sees the gallery bringing together a range of pieces of different periods and materials, from Berto Lardera and Pierre Szekely to Terence Main and Howard Meister.
