Design Miami
Philippe Denys, Brussels
Based in Brussels, Philippe Denys has long been collecting prototype and limited edition designs from the post-war Europe in a bid to express the diversity of the period and highlight the increased synergy between design, art and architecture thereof.
Each item is hand chosen by Denys himself, resulting in a uniquely personal and vastly extensive collection overall, where quality of design and production are the driving principles behind the individual pieces. Denys' expertise means the man is a permanent fixture on the global design art circuit and a deeply respected authority on the length and breadth of post-war European design.
Design Miami sees the gallerist exhibiting a selection of pieces including works by Grete Jalk, Alvar Aalto, Tapio Wirkkala, Angelo Mangiarotti and Hans Wegner.
