Stella McCartney
With a vertical garden by French botanist Patrick Blanc as a backdrop, Stella McCartney opened her show with a series of floral dresses and wide legged all-in-ones cut in soft light silk voile. They and everything that followed had an easy throw-and-go feel to it, sexy and sweet at the same time.
Her parachute silk group included great dresses and sporty jackets with a utility style, that referenced 80s Katharine Hamnett. She also shredded silk, and hand knitted it into gauzy sweaters, but best of all were the oversized jackets, some down to the knee.
