Pierre Hardy for Frederic Malle

Collaboration comes naturally to Frederic Malle and this month sees him teaming up with accessory maestro Pierre Hardy on a bespoke project. Inspired by Hardy's trademark ability to combine luxury and geometric rigor, Malle asked him to redesign the Editions de Malle portable fragrance atomiser. The result is a limited edition run of 1500 metal cylinders, hand-sprayed in high-gloss black, white, and bright-coloured paints, ready for the taking.

Baxter of California Deodorant

Anti-perspirants are pretty near the bottom of the beauty product pile in terms of gloss and desirability, but the latest offering from Baxter of California has all this and more. A product of many years of research, Baxter's alcohol- and aluminum-free composition includes tea tree oil, chamomile and acai extracts to calm any sort of irritation, while citrus and herbal musk are muddled together for a discreet, yet masculine scent.

Aesop Post-poo drops

For a skincare and beauty brand as scent-focused as Aesop, it was just a matter of time before they addressed the smelly elephant in the (bath)room. In fact, for their second collaboration with APC, they chose to fight what they bluntly call 'post-poo'. Best used 'after vigorous bathroom activity', a few drops in the ivory throne promises to dispense a delightful blend of citrus and floral notes, with anti-bacterial benefits as a bonus, so that no one would ever be the wiser.

Chanel quilted handbag palette

Inspired by the fashion house’s most iconic feature, Chanel’s newest palette is a worthy homage to its timeless quilting motif. Designed by creative director Peter Phillips to celebrate the re-opening of Chanel’s boutique on Avenue Montaigne, the gilded palette comprises five luminescent shades, from pale gold to khaki, elegantly encased in the house’s glossy black box.

Mr Perfect make-up remover pen by Givenchy

The latest tool in Givenchy’s make-up box is the suitably named ‘Mister Perfect’ pen. The seventh in a range of beauty tools created by the beauty brand’s artistic director Nicolas Degennes, ‘Mister Perfect’ is an instant make-up remover in the shape of a pen, designed to get rid of even the most minute imperfections without leaving further smudges.

Malin Goetz ingrown hair cream  

In a perfect melding of minds, New York-based skincare label Malin Goetz has teamed up with global hair removal specialists Ministry of Waxing to create an ingenious in-grown hair cream. The joint effort is armed with a mild formula infused with vitamin E and B5 to tackle any irritation caused by shaving, waxing or epilating, chamomile to soothe skin and extracts of papaya and pineapple to exfoliate.

Strangebeautiful nail polish collection

One of the newest additions to Jane Schub's Strangebeautiful nail polish collections is this bold ode to black. Dedicated to Eadweard Muybridge and his experiments with motion photography, the palette features ten shades mimicking the gradients of black to brown in early photography. And as if conceptual nail colour was not enough, Schub’s polishes are free of Formaldehyde, Toluene and DBP (dibutyl phthalate)

Not many hairdressers these days subscribe to ‘a method’, and in this respect, Rossano Ferretti is a dying breed. Since creating his signature technique with his sister, which follows the natural fall and structure of the client’s hair, Ferretti’s has garnered fans the world over. Adding to a network of 20-strong luxury salons, as far flung as Mumbai to the Maldives, the hair guru recently opened his first London outpost in the heart of Mayfair occupying a three-storey townhouse that was previously the headquarters of Fabregé. Boasting minimal black and white interiors with a few opulent touches (the original Fabregé glass chandelier still hangs above the entry staircase,) the Mayfair space contains just 13 chairs to ensure the pinnacle of personalized service.
