Johanna Grawunder brings colour to Glas Italia

Injecting a little luminosity into this year's Salone, is the XX console and XXX low table by Johanna Grawunder. Designed for Glasswork supremos, Glas Italia,Grawunder – a multifarious lighting designer and artist – has come on board to bring a little colour to their achromatic, urban-orientated approach.

Drawing on her lighting experience for inspiration, Grawunder has designed XX console and XXX low table - two fruit salad tinted tables - to emanate light without the need for electrical interference. Constructed from x shaped glass bases and topped with rectangular and circular surfaces respectively, the tables were uncovered this week alongside the rest of Glas Italia’s 2009 collection in Hall 7 of the Fair.
