The 60-second interview
Israeli-born Yael Mer and Shay Alkalay set up their London-based design studio Raw Edges after graduating from London’s Royal College of Art in 2006 and 2007 respectively.
Their work is playful and imaginative yet functional and desirable, so it is no surprise that they cite French auteur Michel Gondry, known for his innovative film-making, as the artist they most admire.
This year Aklalay’s Stack drawers are one of the standouts of the Established & Sons show.
