The Dune Eco Village
The Dune Eco Village is a rich mix of South Indian culture and French style, set amid 35 lush acres on the Coramandel coast of Tamil Nadu, near Pondicherry. Accommodation spans from affordable beach huts to high-end three-bedroom houses with private pools and each of the extremely comfortable rooms is unique, incorporating reclaimed local relics.
The staff are attentive but discrete, and the food is superb: like the interiors, the menu at F.U.N (Food U Need) restaurant also blends South Indian and French influences, and, if nothing takes your fancy, the chefs in the open plan kitchen can cater for your every whim.
To top it all, there is an elevated pool that looks out onto the ocean and 700m of perfect private beach. Somehow an evening's Gin and Tonic tastes better than usual here.
