Rooms: 340 rooms (pictured is a Fairmont room) and 37 suites. The Asian-oriented design by James Cheng comes with harbour and mountain views in most rooms, through floor-to-ceiling windows. All offer surround sound, bedside controls and television mirrors. The Stearns & Foster beds feature Mascioni linens, and a butler-style service presses wrinkled suits and shines shoes.
Leisure: The Willow Stream spa has nine treatment areas and a full fitness centre with a rooftop swimming pool with cabanas and outdoor fireplaces. Opened just in time for the 2010 Winter Olympics, the hotel offers five-star service without five-star rates.
Restaurants: Chef David Wong oversees the signature Pan-Asian bistro which also has the largest sake cellar in the city, a private dining room, a communal table and a front-row chef's table.
