Dior reds
The House of Dior appreciates a good red nail polish so much that it has released a trio of reds inspired by cornerstones of its sartorial history. In a sophisticated demonstration of colour theory, the fashion house has honed in on the brick red shade, Icone, in tribute to the shade of Christian Dior's Atout Coeur dress circa 1955, a bright orange-tinged red named Trafalgar - a nod to Dior's tactic (Coup de Trafalgar) of punctuating his runway presentations with a dramatic red look - and a chic, seductive crimson that echoes the powerful sophistication of René Gruau's illustrations.
