Founder Ben Gorham was inspired by the idea of male figures and his own changing opinion of masculinity. The fragrance, which opens with mandarin leaves and neroli, developing into green lavender and bamboo and culminates in a black amber and white cedarwood base, is also an ode to the enigmatic hairstylist Christiaan Houtenbos, who coiffed many a famous head in the 1970s.
