Ferragamo, Spring/Summer '09 (scroll down to read the review)
Ferragamo
In her second season at Ferragamo, Cristina Ortiz continued to work with volume. Through pleated, billowing silks she created oversized volumes and then brought them back to the body through gathering, folding or even bunching.
Leather belts were used to suspend garments from the bust or shoulders a little like a parachute. Attention to detail and quality of construction was very visible throughout, especially when it came to top stitching. There was plenty of flesh, with dresses finishing high on the thigh, bare backs and nude shoulders. Ferragamo under Ortiz is definitely sexy.
