Salone Preview 2008

Primitives by Vincent van Duysen for When Objects Work
When Objects Work
This Belgian company has made a name for itself designing small collections or select items with exquisite attention to form and detail. John Pawson’s pans were a worthy winner at this year’s Design Awards. Salone 2008 sees new launches from Pawson again (a set of eminently covetable salad servers) and Dutch architect Vincent van Duysen. Van Duysen’s designs are a collection of blond wood and brass objects of varying shapes, depths and functions, by the name of ‘Primitives’, which are sure to be a highlight.
