The Italian glass manufacturer is posthumously launching a range of coloured mirrors by the late architect-designer Ettore Sottsass. Two series - 'Gli Specchi di Dioniso' and 'Shibam' – comprise wall and upright mirrors with polychrome frames, in a variety of shapes and sizes. Production involved a significant degree of experimentation with surface and colour, a process the designer described as 'complicated but liberating' – and the resulting forms, along with the design blueprints, certainly suggest a good degree of creative freedom.
