Salone Satellite
The launch pad of many a young designer and the highlight of many a Salone, the Satellite section of the main fairground is where to spot the future stars of tomorrow’s design industry. This year is Satellite’s tenth anniversary and its success as the greatest platform in the world for giving young designers a shoe-in to an otherwise very stubborn industry is largely down to Marva Griffin, the founder and first lady of emerging talent. Griffin still oversees proceedings today and with over 570 designers lined up to show this year, it shows no signs of diminishing with age.
