New York design afficionados Ramis Barquet and Alek Vik joined forces in 2005 to launch Sebastian+Barquet with the single aim of 'creating a harmonious spectacle to enchant the eye, rejoice the heart and elevate the the spirit.' In their short life thus far, they've made a name for themselves on the design circuit promoting a tightly edited selection of classic modernist and contemporary furniture and decorative arts.

Craft and craftsmen are what the gallery specialises in. Through eight exhibitions each year, highlighting new names alongside older masters, from Ico Parisi to Vladimir Kagan, Isamu Noguchi to Gio Ponti, Sebastian + Barquet pride themselves on quality and the inestimable value attached to vintage and handmade design.

The gallery is due to open its second showroom in London in 2008 as a testament to the global appeal of their collection and exhibitions.
