Junya Watanabe Man
With a park bench lodged in the centre of the runway, piano music from Keith Jarrett's ‘Köln Concert’ and voice-overs taken from Woody Allen's ‘Manhattan’ and ‘Annie Hall’, Juyna Watanabe's show was in a laid-back kind of mood. Watanabe continued on his path of improving the classics, by forging collaborative relationships with producers of iconic products. In addition to Brooks Brothers, Borsalino, Levis, Mackintosh, Trickers and Le Laboureur, Watanabe has added Italian puffer jackets maker Duvetica to his stable of brand collaborators, for some updated MA1 flying jackets. The collection also had some fabulous knit outerwear, combining knit, fabric and leather in a series of charming multicolored jacquards.
