Opening the show with a very pared down combination of a brown shirt and matching trousers cut in cashmere cloth, Kris Van Assche then went on to explore all options with the noble cloth, using it for everything from suiting to coats - even upgrading the humble T-shirt with it. Detail in the tailoring-focused collection was reduced to a sliver of a facing or storm flap on a trench, in contrast colours of either brown and grey or black and grey, mostly cut in double-faced cashmere or wool-bonded to matt nappa. The construction technique kept all hems and seams super clean, something seen also on all the knitted coats and jackets. One contrast to this cleanliness was in the knitwear with deliberate 'messy' edges, which looked like they had been torn off, but were actually engineered.
