Kris Van Assche
Calling his collection ‘Numero 13, Lucky Number’ (his thirteenth solo), Kris Van Assche explored the idea of top-heavy volume, from a giant sweatshirt cut in cloth rather than jersey, through to oversized kimono-shaped jumpers and cardigans that grazed the ankle. Detail, (as seen at Dior Homme where he also designs) were sparse, with chunky nickel zips as the only other focus apart from the story of scale. A palate of black was broken up with the occasional use of caramel seen in the black speckled raw-cut wool, leather boots closed with elastic straps, and his new collection of low-slung messenger bags produced by Eastpack.
