Yohji Yamamoto, Autumn/Winter 2008 (scroll down to read more)
Yohji Yamamoto
To the mellow sounds of a strumming guitar, Yohji entered a rustic dream with billowing peasant skirts and waistbands rolled down under raw edged hide jackets. Suddenly black leather looks interesting again. Silhouettes were cut with peplums and panniers making much play of the hips, and colours were kept sober with peppery tweeds, evergreen and conker shades. There were some superb jackets here with slim sleeves and stand-up necks that would look equally good with carpenter jeans as with simple black trousers.
