Donna Karan, Spring/Summer '09 (scroll down to read the review)
Donna Karan
Carrying the palette of Lauren for the final show of New York Fashion Week, Donna Karan was also in an olive, sand, and gold mood with plenty of bronzed leg and the kind of tousled seawater doused locks you dream of.
Her agenda was for slippery silks and beaten satins, in slouchy cowl back mini dresses and frayed edge tweed mini skirt suits. There was embellishment in the form of big gems fastened to hems and necklines and a 70s vibe with palazzo pant all-in-ones in sinuous silk jersey - one in pewter and another in an abstract marble print. 70s and summer go together like bacon and eggs.
