Donna Karan, Spring/Summer '08 (scroll down to read the review)
Donna Karan
Artisan touches and eco sensibilities are a big part of the summer collections, giving clothes an authentic personal feel. Donna Karan melded her woman-friendly aesthetic with natural fabrics of silk and raffia and vellum cotton in a sensual collection featuring big swirling skirts in embroidered cotton net married with sweet nipped jackets and cinched at the waist.
For evening, ecru Swiss lace was made into full skirted dresses with sheer straps and Karan's favourite jersey into slithering barely-there long gowns with halter necks and wrapping around the breasts.
