Pringle of Scotland
Pringle's roots may be in knitwear, but Creative Director Claire Waight Keller has shown that she has a talent that extends way beyond this with fantastic tailoring and outerwear.
Knits were either super fine or very chunky, like the hand-knits in extra-soft cashmere and chinchilla. Specially woven cloths like micro herringbone, baby camel and a novel low pile velvet, with the shadow of herringbone jacquard below the pile, were fashioned into slim suits that gave a slight nod to 1960s and 1970s London.
Keller also dabbled in colour using mustard, purple and lilac and played with solids and vintage paisley. The most wanted piece had to be the Fair Isle knits or the thermo-sealed trench coat in cotton velvet that had a special finish to flatten the pile.
