Gianni Versace, Autumn/Winter '08 (scroll down to read the review)
Gianni Versace
There is nothing like Versace to remind you that you are in Milan. With the show held in a specially converted theatre (Teatro Versace), a buzz of VIP front row action was evident in the form of Beyoncé, her ample entourage and plenty of paparazzi.

Donatella Versace, who recently took time out to judge the Wallpaper* Design Awards, delivered another strong collection for the Versace man. He was masculine but not aggressive, reminding us of the overcoat clad men seen in the paintings by Tamara de Lempicka.

The night certainly belongs to Versace, and she offered some novel takes on the tux, as satin collars were replaced with mini baguettes giving a touch of opulence. One of the best touches was beading concealed under jacket collars, only visible when they are worn up.
