C.P Company, Autumn/Winter '08 (scroll down to read the review)
C.P Company
For a brand like C.P.Company, the decision to hold their first actual runway show is quite something, after around 30 years of presenting their collections in a static environment. They must have thought hard about the transition, as their products need to be touched, so that all the research and development that goes into fabric and finish can be fully appreciated.
They mixed tailored and sporty styles and muddled noble fibres like wool and cashmere with technical manmade fibres. Wools were sprayed with pigment or coated, tweed was coupled with a cotton/nylon mix for extra warmth, cool wool jackets were thermo-sealed and technical nylon sports jackets were dyed with dirt. Yes dirt, its a pigment normally used for repairing frescoes.
