Wallpaper* is developing a bit of a soft spot for Vincenzo De Cotiis. The multi-disciplined designer is the architect behind the soft Brutalist Straf Hotel in Milan (as featured in the Wallpaper* City Guides). Next door sits his own gallery and shop which act as a showcase for Progetto Domestico – De Cotiis’ range of one off furniture pieces.

Also designing for Ceccotti Collezioni, the talented designer still manages to find time to create a fashion collection. Haute was established in 1998, and being very much under the radar, is collected by those really in the know. Cotiis's work, in both design and fashion, is known for his use of reclaimed and recycled materials; constantly borrowing or appropriating from the existing.
