Each season we look forward to Max Mara coats, and this time there was a streamlined approach for fall, with the brand presenting minimally designed outerwear in muted tones of camel, cream and buttercup yellow. Many of the coats were collarless and button-less, which allowed the eye to zero in on exquisite materials like pure double-faced camel hair and buttery cashmere. There was also an animal takeover (an elegant one, of course) with a ranch worth’s of cowhide, spotty pony skin and fluffy alpaca, which was cut and combed to polished results.
