Gucci
In stark contrast to the architectural purity of the rest of Milan, Gucci went full on Boho. And it seems the retailers loved it. Bohemian glamour, past and present, from the decadent 1920s, the indulgent 1970s and right up to date with unconventional rockers like The Citizens Band according to program notes (men's on the other hand was Eugene Hutz of New York band Gogol Bordello). Bold pattern in opulent jacquards, ornate embroideries and graphic prints were numerous and eclectic as no two patterns, prints or embroideries were alike. Everything from the narrow pants, the fur jackets, to the over-the-knee boots and the new Pelham and Babouska bags were decorated, with frogging, fringing, passementerie piping, metal disks, tassels and gold studs. The smoky eyes helped give the rich decadence a Gucci-rock vibe.
