As the sun streamed through the all-glass Crystal Palace venue in London’s Hyde Park, while ladies in pretty frocks sipped tea and munched on organic pink meringue, you could be forgiven for thinking all was right with the world. And for ten minutes as Luella sent her girls down the catwalk in bouncy tiered skirts and billowy blouses all in delicious sweet confectionary colours, it was. Confident and accomplished, the Sunday-best-with-a-strange-wonky-undertone look may have been frilly and feminine but it was equally flattering and fantastic. Luella, take us to your world.
