Paul Smith, Autumn/Winter '08 (scroll down to read the review)
Paul Smith
Paul Smith’s show was bad-girl-meets-couture, loosely inspired by Juliette Greco who was matey with the French Bohemians. ‘Handsome’ models walked the ballroom of Claridges to a soundtrack of unheard Serge Gainsbourg mixed with Mark Almond.

Sir Paul told Wallpaper* he wanted to ’lift it up a notch’ referring to bringing his womenswear out of the shadows of his menswear. With a gaggle of recently opened stores in locations like St Petersburg, Istanbul, Capetown and Paris’s famed Rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré, he felt (and we can only agree) a stronger collection was required.
