Aquascutum
Opting for a novel presentation format, Michael Herz and Graeme Fidler showed a succession of 22 coats and raincoats, exhibiting not only their skills, but the brands heritage from 1951 to present day.
It was an eclectic mix of shapes and styles: from the simple trapeze with giant collar, to the half-belted in block colours, and the long military style trench, one of which came with a photographic print of the brands Regent Street store taken during Queen Elizabeths Coronation procession in 1953.
The outerwear was followed by 22 dresses, skirts and sweaters using the same colours, fabrication and detailing, such as the shift dress richly embellished with folk-like multi-coloured Shetland wool hand embroidery. For the finale, the dresses and coats were united.
