Royal Tichelaar Makkum
Following a restoration project for Amsterdams Rijksmuseum of 17th-century tulip towers, historic ceramic specialist Royal Tichelaar Makkum was inspired to undertake its own project involving towers. The Pyramids of Makkum are to be unveiled at Salone, consisting of five pieces one traditional replica and four contemporary interpretations by Dutch designers Hella Jongerius, Studio Job, Jurgen Bey and Alexander von Slobbe. Following Salone, the pyramids will then be on show at Moss gallery in New York.
