Patrick Blanc's 'Unexpected Garden' at Cafe Trussardi
Cafe Trussardi
Another slightly offbeat attraction to grab a quick espresso (or something stronger) at is Trussardis re-opened Café boasting a crystal veranda and vertical garden by French landscape architect Patrick Blanc. The 100 square metres of suspended greenery goes by the name of The Unexpected Garden and shows Blancs own discovery in the field of hydroponic cultivation: that its possible to grow plant species on walls without soil. More than merely a gimmick, the vertical garden actually insulates the building its installed on and improves air quality by filtering pollution and generating oxygen. And its certainly more sightly than your average air purifier.
