New product design was flourishing last month at Paris's Maison & Objet. London's Tom Dixon previewed his Eclectic accessories, in his signature copper, glass and wood. Belgium's Alain Berteau launched Objekten, focusing on well-crafted everyday products. Meanwhile, Denmark's Hay presented a line of vibrant stationery, wooden trays and household tools. Naturally there was plenty of Gallic talent, particularly from the Sentou brand. Meanwhile, Italian brand Gervasoni introduced a new bedroom line. Tripping around Paris is never a chore, but it's all the more valuable when you return with a head full of inspiring new design.
