Aram StoreThis five-storey converted fruit and vegetable warehouse is home to London's finest family run design store. Zeev Aram, now in business with his son Daniel and daughter Ruth, has been a central figure in the design retail world, since he first opened a store on the King's Road in 1964. Introducing the British to Castiglioni, Breuer and Le Corbusier for the first time, Aram now makes it his business to introduce the youngest names on the design circuit alongside the old greats through which he made his name.
Take sofas, says daughter Ruth, the store offers over twenty different designs, ranging from Bauhaus classics to the very latest offerings from Milan. Coinciding with the London Design Festival, Aram has teamed up with Artemide to present a lighting installation at the Drury lane store, showcasing new designs by Naoto Fukasawa, Ross Lovegrove and Ernesto Gismondi.
