New models unveiled at the 2011 Concorso d'Eleganza
Aston Martin V12 Zagato
Aston Martin chose the Villa d'Este to introduce the Aston Martin V12 Zagato, an exotically re-bodied version of its classic high performance coupe. Celebrating the company's long-standing collaboration between Italian styling house Zagato, which has resulted in strictly limited runs of race and collectors' edition Astons ever since the original DB4 GT Zagato was introduced in 1960. Designed in collaboration with Aston Martin's Director of Design Marek Reichman, the new V12 Zagato features Zagato's trademark 'double-bubble' roof. A stripped down race version will make its public debut later in June when it tackles the notorious Nurburgring 24 hour race in Germany. In the meantime, the concept was awarded first prize in the prestigious 'Concept Cars and Prototypes' category.
