Fioravanti Hidra
FIORAVANTI HIDRA Fioravanti operate on the outfield of concept car design. While the company itself develops folding roof systems for the likes of Ferrari, its concepts explore new forms to suit new technologies. This year’s Hidra concept is a sleeker development of last year’s Thalia, and includes new innovations like the ‘Geyser’ system, a way of improving aerodynamics by eliminating conventional, drag-inducing windscreen wipers in favour of alternating jets of water and air, keeping windows clean at all times. To celebrate the design house’s 20th anniversary, the studio also showed the Alfa Romeo Vola, a drop-top study that hints at the next-generation of the venerable Spider line.
