Opel Flextreme
Engineered to produce a miniscule amount of CO2, the Opel Flextreme concept also signals its eco intentions with a rather retro set of extras. Concealed within the sleek monobox shape of this proposed city car are two Segway personal transporters, the quirky self-balancing two-wheelers that didnt quite set the world on fire when they were launched back in 2001. The Flextreme is still smart enough to succeed on its own merits, with rear suicide doors and no b-pillar, allowing easy access to the interior. GMs new E-Flex electric drive system - also seen in last years Volt concept - is mated to a diesel engine to keep emissions down.
