The XFR has been eagerly awaited by the Jaguar cognoscenti. As the flagship of the accolade-encrusted XF range, the XFR is widely expected to take the title of world's best rapid sports saloon from the likes of BMW. As if to pre-empt any speculation about performance anxiety, Jaguar took a lightly modified (and delimited) example onto Utah's famous Bonneville Salt Flats just a few days before the show and reached a speed of over 225mph. The stock version is limited to 'only' 155mph, with a host of new acronyms brought into play to explain the various electronic systems that keep the car on the straight and narrow.
