While the French government has shown no will to restore the Maginot Line, individuals are taking it upon themselves to do so, turning bunkers into museums, staging war re-enactments and hosting gun clubs. Some have even transformed them into private houses. Here, Guirkinger shows a message of protest. 'I like the strange notion of saving this military construction that never saved anything itself,' he says
