The Bombay-born artist has already undertaken a wealth of major large-scale commissions, including Marsyas for the Tate Moderns Turbine Hall in London as well as the Sky Mirror installation at the Rockefeller Center in New York. Kapoors interest in the use of mirrors is reflected in his fourth plinth proposal, which sees five concave mirrors cantilevered around the plinth to reflect the changing sky-scape of London and turning the world upside down.
