Catapulted to fame through the Turner Prize she didnt win, Tracey Emin often reveals personal truths through installation, painting, video and sculpture. Having exhibited internationally, to much acclaim, Emin was made a Royal Academician in 2007 and represented Britain at the 52nd Venice Biennale. Emins proposal for the Fourth Plinth takes on a more inclusive approach, using the egalitarian nature of the Meerkat to convey a sense of unity and safety she feels society requires.
