Maggie's Centre, Charing Cross Hospital, Fulham Palace Road W6 8RF
Designed as serene, comfortable alternative to the dauntingly huge Charing Cross Hospital in Hammersmith, Maggie’s Centre is a flexible space with a raised roof, which encourages light to penetrate every space in the building. Designed by Rogers Strik Harbour + Partners, and built in 2008, Maggie’s Centre is essentially a two-storey pavilion surrounded with thick, bright orange masonry - an incredibly vivid adage, which serves as a colour sensitive backdrop to the building’s green surrounds. %A
%AThe centre opens its doors from 11am on Sunday 20th September, closing at 4pm. There are regular tours available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
