Langham House Close, Ham Common TW10 7JE
A benchmark of yellow brick Brutalism, Stirling and Gowan’s 1958 housing project is unrefined and ahead of its time. With exposed shuttered concrete, its iconic, oversized concrete gargoyles and achingly geometric construction, Langham house is a lesson in cubic architectural practice. Inside, the exposed brick chimneys and mantels continue the unpolished angular theme maintained on the exterior. %A
