Mount Hotham, in Victorias high country, is a long way from Rome. Although the mountainous terrain doesnt feature Roman relics, it does lay claim to a house designed by one of Italys leading architects and industrial designers, Giovanni DAmbrosio. Ive never experienced such wide open places before. From here, you dont see any other buildings, says DAmbrosio, who was invited by Australian developers the Ray Group to design a landmark house in the snowfields.
